Jackie Johnson, MH ND, Herb Society of America
Join us as we walk through the forests of Wisconsin, learning both the historical uses and folklore of some of our native (and a few naturalized!) plants. From the Slippery Elm that kept George Washington and his men from starvation at Valley Forge to the False Soloman's Seal that "kept mothers sane", you may recognize many of these plants and be intrigued by their stories!
If there is a plant you are wondering about, let us know when you register and Jackie will do her best to incorporate it into the talk presentation.
Tap into Life and Learning (T.I.L.L Talks) is a free lunchtime lecture series open to members and the general public, offered select Wednesdays from February 11 and April 1. Feel free to bring your lunch along to enjoy during the presentation.
