This class is not a full training to become a Bumble Brigade Ambassador. If you are interested in the full-day training on Tuesday, July 22, please register online.

Join the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Bumble Bee Coordinator Elizabeth Braatz for a workshop to learn about the amazing bumble bees of Wisconsin, and how you can become involved through the participatory science program ‘Bumble Bee Brigade’. We’ll cover basic bee biology, rare species to keep on the lookout for, how to identify the top species, and how you can become involved. Then, we’ll go outdoors to tour the Garden from a pollinator perspective and practice our new identification skills!

Participants should bring:

Camera/camera phone
A bagged lunch
Comfortable clothes/footwear to spend 1.25 hours walking throughout the Garden
