Join us for an evening of elegance as we explore teas and treats from many of the countries impacted by the tea trade.
Learn how:
- Expensive porcelain was created to brew and serve tea
- Silver was shaped to make containers, tea caddies, and flatware
- Breads were fashioned into yeasty shapes and spices were sought to enhance exotic pastries
- Fruits and even sugars were formed into delicate shapes to delight the eye and palate.
Manners were established to celebrate growing wealth and elevated social status, all to celebrate TEA. The international focus will be evident in the table decorations, in the choice of teas, and in the offerings of sweets, scones and savories. Seating is limited, so enroll early.
